Dr. Jim Romano holds two degrees in Organic Chemistry and Dental Surgery from the University of Miami and New York University, respectively. Dr. Romano was fortunate enough to study extensively under world famous chemists such as Drs. Mills, Hare, Eschegoyen, Schultz, Oratz and Bartolotti in specific areas of chemistry, physics and biochemistry. After completing his education, rather than pursuing a career as an oral surgeon he came to realize his true passion was found in helping students. He happily thrives tutoring and has created an empire built on integrity, sound fundamentals and novel approaches to problem solving. Thousands of students have enrolled in his DAT, MCAT, Physics, General Chemistry classes and Organic Chemistry Intensive Programs. Guiding students for over 20 years, Dr. Romano works from his tutoring institute, Romano Scientific based in Staten Island, New York. Many have hit 29 in the Organic section, 27 in General Chemistry and the overall MCAT Organic Chemistry average was an 11.
